We are looking for an Audio Production Builder (APB) who will support the production of premier high-performance custom audio and lighting products and ensure that each unit meets Coastal Source’s quality standards. This role is part of our Production department, working alongside our Warehouse, Technical and Trade Show departments.

Ideal Qualifications
- 2-year Technical Degree or Associates Degree preferred
- Experience working with electronics, low voltage wiring, and or car audio
- Knowledge of audio products and wireless technologies
- Experience working with schematics and/or wiring diagrams
- Strong computer software aptitude
- OSHA experience a plus
- Must have and be able to maintain a valid driver’s license
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the production of custom audio and lighting products (installing connectors and electronic components, making connections, epoxying components, etc.)
- Program amplifiers with custom DSP settings for each order that goes out
- Unbox inbound shipments, reporting inventory to the Inventory Specialist
- Perform cycle counts as needed from the Inventory Specialist
- Prepare all foam and packaging for Production Area assembled products
- Maintain an organized workspace and perform daily production area cleanings
- Participate in special projects and assist in event prep as needed
- Occasionally assist in the unloading of shipping containers as needed
Work Conditions/Physical Demands
- Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds, although most components to be lifted throughout the day are 30 pounds or less (with the occasional need to lift as much as 75 pounds), with or without reasonable accommodation
- Able to alternatively sit, stand, push, pull, lift, and walk about the warehouse or trade show with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Able to drive the company van varying distances
- Able to work in all kinds of extreme temperatures (e.g., hot, cold)

We are looking for an Audio/Speaker/Electronics Testing Technician who will be responsible for providing testing, reporting, and technical support to the Design & Product Development team to help facilitate the execution of product designing, building, prototyping, testing, and quality control.
About You
You are a systems specialist with a passion for learning music production systems, new technologies, software, and systems. You enjoy all steps from building rough prototypes to finished products and are skilled in general shop tools and carpentry along with high tech tools such as 3D printing. Highly organized and efficient, you have an impeccable attention to detail and are driven to complete tasks with efficiency and excellence. You have a strong work ethic, able to work proactively and independently, but love to be part of a team that shares your excitement and passion. You like to learn new things and handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy small town and outdoor living in a tropical waterfront environment.
Key Qualifications
- Technical School certification or college degree in a related discipline a plus
- Audio speaker and electronics operation and testing experience (FREQ vs SPL, Power, QC, etc.)
- Experience & proficiency with audio testing software and hardware (Smaart, ARTA, etc.)
- Experience in low voltage audio/electrical
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks for product design a plus
What You’ll Do
- Setup, testing, and reporting on current, in-development, and future outdoor audio systems
- Building prototypes
- Setup, operation, and maintenance on all shops, equipment, and demo systems
- Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required
- Other duties as assigned
